I decided to tap into my creative side and put together a list of my 10 favourite gardening tools. I really can't do without any of them and a lot of these little thing have found their way into my potting shed over time, sadly they don't look new and shiny like the images but well worn in and still going strong.
I find my mini greenhouse very useful, but I'm surprised you need one. I thought Australia was fairly warm all year round, but then I don't know a lot about Australia.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of Eco-oil or Seasol. What do you use them for?
NIce post, some useful and beautifully designed tools (love the Haws Watering Can!) Just returned form the Garden Writers Association Symposium where I saw "hands on" demo of Corona's comfort grip tools. Awesome, check them out: http://ow.ly/2EEvZ
ReplyDeleteI have 3 mini greenhouses, they are just brill especially with having a son that constantly kicks a football around, if I had a glass one it would be in pieces by now.
ReplyDeleteAnother fav for me is my hand trowel and canes, I use the bamboo canes for just about everything!
Karin - Believe it or not we still need greenhouses in Aus. Especially in Winter it gets to 1 or 2 degrees c and tops of 14degrees during the day, so for some veggies that we can grow all year round the greenhouse really helps. In Summer I leave it open but mainly use it as a way to keep all the seedling trays away from little hands that may feel like have a dig and delve!
ReplyDeleteUrban Gardens - the Corona comfort grip tools look very nice.
Hi Garden Small Holder I am lucky that we have a gum tree that drops lovely long sticks I use these to trellis all my climbing veggies, I remember watching Hugh from River Cottage do something similar so I don't need to buy the bamboo canes anymore!
