The rain and burst of warm humid weather is perfect growing conditions and the veggie garden is just loving it! I planted some very small tomato seedlings 2 weeks ago and they have doubled in size, the rhubarb seems to be very happy where I have planted it, and the strawberries look like they will give us more fruit this year, as long as the strawberry thief keeps away from them. I particularly love all the flowers, the sage is bursting with bright purple blooms and the broad beans are covered in little white flowers dotted with black spots, it is a very pretty time of the year. What is happening in your garden? Are the seasons being kind to you? Please tell me your gardening stories. Until next time happy gardening.
Don't you just LOVE the sage flowers!? The weather must have been particularly good for them this year. Mine are flowering beautifully too and Jamie at Garden Amateur has been writing about his on recent posts too (he is Sydney based too - about 15 mins away in Marrickville).
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the growth spurt in the garden too! Everything looks so green and lush (especially since I have 2 deciduous trees that are now covered in that lovely lime green new growth...fig and persimmon).
Enjoying your posts. Cheers.
Thanks Lanie, I will have to visit Garden Amateur and have a read. Happy Gardening!
